Special courts
There are four special courts in Finland: the Market Court, the Labour Court, the Insurance Court and the High Court of Impeachment.
Market court
The Market Court is a special court that deals with procurement, competition and supervision matters, market law matters and intellectual property rights matters.
Labour court
The Labour Court shall deal with disputes concerning the application and interpretation of collective agreements and the violation of the duty to obey these agreements.
Insurance court
The Insurance Court is an independent and impartial special court for social security matters, which is part of the Finnish court system.
High Court of Impeachment
The High Court of Impeachment shall hear charges brought against a member of the Government or the Chancellor of Justice, the Parliamentary Ombudsman or a member of the Supreme Court or the Supreme Administrative Court for unlawful conduct in an official capacity. In addition, the High Court of Impeachment will consider the charge concerning the criminal liability of the President of the Republic.
