The Insurance court

The Insurance Court is an independent and impartial special court for social security matters, which is part of the Finnish court system.

Matters covered by the Insurance Court concern, inter alia, the right of a person to an occupational pension, a na-tional pension, unemployment benefit, pay security, housing allowance, study allowance, disability benefits paid by the Social Insurance Institution, benefits under the Health Insurance Act, rehabilitation and the right to compensa-tion for occupational injury, occupational disease, criminal injury or military injury.
