Security checks

A security check may be arranged at the court to check the person arriving or staying at the court and the goods involved. The security inspector has the right to carry out an inspection.

The purpose of the security check is to prevent the import of objects and substances into the premises of a court which may harm other persons or property or endanger safety or order.

You should not carry intoxicants such as alcohol when entering the courthouse. You should also prepare for examining medicines during security checks. You will have to show your prescription for prescription-only medicinal products. The investigation of medicinal products may be carried out in a separate space so that outside persons cannot see, for example, the contents of the bag to be inspected or hear the contents of the conversation that are protected by privacy.

The security inspector has the right to remove an object that is dangerous or otherwise prohibited by law or by an order issued under it. A person dealing with a court of law shall ensure that he or she does not carry dangerous objects. The so-called multipurpose tools are also classified as edged weapons during security checks.

The security check is congested on busy business days before the most common start of the sessions at 9.00. This is why you should arrive to the session in good time.

Further information on the practices of security checks can be obtained from the court .
