Social media

The judiciary uses social media as a channel of communication and discussion. Social media channels share news and other interesting topics.

The judiciary does not comment on individual cases and does not provide legal advice.

Since social media channels are intended to deal with matters falling within the jurisdiction of the judiciary, prohibited topics of discussion include:

  • Crashing other conversationalists, cursing, racism
  • Incitement of a crime
  • Hate messages directed at individuals, organisations, countries or peoples
  • Advertising and marketing of products and services
  • Religious and political statements

In addition, writings that may fulfil the essential elements of the dissemination or defamation of information violating private life laid down in the Criminal Code shall be prohibited.

Inappropriate messages can be deleted and communication by a user who repeatedly violates the rules on the channel can be prevented. The author will not be notified of the removal and blocking of the message.

The judiciary is not responsible for the content and maintenance of personnel's personal communications channels.

A private matter cannot be initiated through social media.
